Privacy policy
This policy describes how this website handles personal data. In short: very sparingly. There are no cookies and no advertising, and for traffic measurement we use a service that works without cookies.
1. Controller

2. No cookies
This website sets no cookies and uses no browser storage. There are no advertising services, no social media plugins and no external fonts – the fonts used are stored locally on the server. There is therefore nothing for you to consent to, and no cookie banner.
3. Traffic measurement
So that we can see how often the pages are visited, Vercel Web Analytics is active (Vercel Inc., USA). The service works without cookies and without a persistent identifier: visits are grouped by a hash calculated from the request, which is discarded after 24 hours. Recognition across several days or across other websites is therefore not possible.
The following is recorded: time of the visit, page requested, referrer, filtered query parameters, approximate location at country, region and city level, operating system, browser and device type. The IP address is not stored and the evaluation is purely statistical. Further details from the provider are available at vercel.com/docs/analytics/privacy-policy.
4. Server log files and hosting
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., USA. When you access the site, data transmitted by your browser is automatically recorded for technical reasons: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type and operating system. This data serves solely the secure and stable operation of the website, is not merged with other data sources and is not used to identify you personally.
5. Contact and pilot forms
If you fill in one of the two forms, we process the details you provide: depending on the form, your name, email address, daycare centre or organisation and your message. We use this data solely to answer your enquiry and to discuss a possible pilot. It is not passed on for advertising purposes and not sold to third parties.
Form submissions are handled by Formspree (Formspree Inc., USA). The form data is processed there and forwarded to our mailbox. If submission fails technically, the page offers to send the message via your own email client instead.
We keep enquiries for as long as needed to handle them and for any subsequent collaboration, then delete them. You may request deletion at any time.
6. Disclosure abroad
Formspree and Vercel are based in the USA, which means personal data may be transferred there. Processing is based on these providers' data processing agreements and the standard contractual clauses they use. If you prefer to avoid this, write us an email directly or call instead.
7. Your rights
Under the Swiss Data Protection Act you have the right to request information about the personal data processed about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its processing. A short message to sarah@dokita.ch is enough. We reply as quickly as possible, usually within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
8. Security
The website is served exclusively over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the data processed against loss and unauthorised access. Complete protection during transmission over the internet can never be guaranteed.
9. The dokita application is separate
This policy applies to the website dokita.ch. The dokita application itself, in which daycare centres record observations about children, is governed separately: there the daycare centre is the controller and dokita acts as processor on the basis of a separate agreement. That data is hosted in Switzerland and protected by role-based access control.
10. Changes
We may adapt this privacy policy if the website or legal requirements change. The version published on this page applies.
